| Described by Stephanie Ramp of the Fairfield Advocate as "groove
rock with a Southern twist and shades of the Grateful Dead,"
Coolerheads' original music is definitely feel good music.
Live, we play covers from artists like the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, ,Eric Clapton, the Allman Brothers, Van Morrison, and more. Listeners relate to the covers they know as well as our original music, and they love to sing along, dance, or just hang out with their friends and groove. As the band is on something of a hiatus, we haven't released any new music since our CD "Prevail" in 1998, though we've written and performed a significant amount of new original music since then. Also, with the amicable departure of Dave Branscombe in 2000 and the addition of band members John Laviola (2000) on guitar and Bob "Chip" Jarzbek (2001) on keys, the band's sound has evolved since Prevail! was released. So - to give you an idea of what our sound was like most recently, check out these downloads. These are cuts from our 2003 Summer Bash - live and (more than) a little rough, but with lots of energy and definitely worth a listen (or two, or three . . . .) The Word and The Walking - one of our favorite tracks off Prevail, with John and Chip showing why they have become an integral part of the Coolerhead sound. True Star - a previously unreleased song that we've been playing live. Check out Mark's tasty drum chops on this too. Check out a few studio tracks from Prevail, with Dave on guitar and studio musican Jeff Simon on keyboards: Check out the contact us page to request a copy of our CD "Prevail!" Copyright © 1998-2007 |
